Section Updated.
We have added even more floor plans, photos of a craft service truck exterior, and two photos
of a craft service trailer interior and exterior (a floor plan of this
trailer is also provided).
Craft services are an integral part of television and feature film
production. Craft service caterers are an indispensable source of
snacks, beverages and light meals for cast and crew members during the
course of a day and between larger full-scale meals, typically provided
by motion picture caterers. As with all of our trucks and
trailers, our craft service units are manufactured to order to ensure
the highest level of efficiency and productivity and outfitted to meet
our customers' exacting standards with as much or as little equipment as
desired. After all, who knows better how best to equip a trailer
than the craft service professionals themselves?

California Housing Authority Now Requires Sprinkler
Systems Installed Within Mobile Kitchens:
The requirement stipulates that all newly manufactured or refurbished mobile food vehicles
and trailers (catering, motion picture and craft service units among
others) must have fire
suppression systems installed within their kitchen hood systems over
certain heat and flame producing appliances while other equipment may be
deemed exempt. As of this writing,
appliances and equipment which require such sprinkler system coverage include
grills, char broilers, open burner stoves and deep fat fryers; steam
tables and ovens (cooking or warming) do not require fire suppression
system coverage.
In keeping with its commitment to innovation and pioneering efforts
within
the mobile food industry, Armenco has worked with the foremost manufacturer of
fire suppression systems to pave the way for an industry
standard. The first such system was incorporated into
a motion picture truck in March of 2003 and all subsequent trucks and
trailers manufactured for use within the State of California have followed suit since the inception of the requirement
(as well as many units sold out of state).
These particular units, known as wet/dry fire suppression systems are
now standard features within
mobile food trucks and trailers manufactured for use within
California and furnished with pertinent equipment and appliances which
must be covered according to the Housing Authority Code. Other states are considering
implementation of similar requirements. There is an additional
cost of $2,200.00 for inclusion of these sprinkler systems within mobile
food trucks and trailers manufactured by Armenco, and in most cases
regardless of the number of appliances or cooking equipment to be
covered. Pricing includes materials, installation, factory/dealer
warranty and plan composition/submission fees. Current pricing
provided throughout this site does not reflect inclusion of a fire
suppression system ; if you require a wet/dry fire suppression system
within your truck or trailer, please add $2,200.00 to the total quoted
kitchen manufacture cost.
